Indonesia has so many cultures and tribes. Indonesia is developing country that has the fourth most popolous country in the world. Unfortunately, number of population in Indonesia does not so helping in economy side. Many Indonesian more proud use product from another country. Actually, it's totally fine because as my tittle life is choices. But if we do not use our product, who will use and proud use Indonesian product ? Even many people from another country more understand about what is trend in Indonesia besides Indonesian itself.  

So, in this posting, I got news article from RSS that is really helping me. Although it needs long time for me to understand, and in the last time I asked my Host Father for helping me, finally, I get and understand how to use it :)

What is Noken ? 

Noken is bag or handicraft from Papua. Noken is identic with women. It is because people who make and use it usually is woman. Noken is popular in abroad. Even based on information received by the BBC from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture,  Arley Gill, certify that Nokens is cultural heritage that should be protected and developed .

Noken is made from natural materials, wood fibers. Wood that usually used is Manduam trees, Nawa trees or root of orchids.The process for making Noken is not easy as how we use it. It needs one until two weeks for finishing all making steps.
