The Most Challenging Phase for Indonesian

Without we realize, all men in the world will face the most difficult competition in the earth included Indonesians. Indonesia has the fourth most populous country in the world which means we have human capital to build our economy. Looking through to country which has the biggest population in the world, China can maximalize its potential in industry part where it can create a lot of cheaper things than other countries do. Most workers in China work hard to get a job because living in China is not easy as we thought. There are a lot of people compete to find a good living although some of them get a really small amount of salary. However we have almost the same case, but Indonesia is not in that level yet. We have really high competition in Jakarta, but not in another island. Taking a moment and paying attention to our surrounding, many Indonesian’s teenagers do not care about education, having job or their future. They do drugs, have fun without limit and do stupid things without think about themselves. They have not realize yet, they are living in countries that has competition level going higher and higher. In 2015, Indonesian and all ASEAN countries will face ASEAN Economic Community ( AEC).  AEC shall be the goal of regional economic integration by 2015 that will transform ASEAN into a region with free movement of goods, services, investment, skilled labor, and free flow of capital. We have not know how this going to end, but we do have other complex thing that we have to face which is competition between men and machines.

In words of Truman Capote "You cannot die in California, because your brain is already dead. California is a state in America which creates a lot of robot or machine. One of my neighbors told me a story. He works in chicken poultry. He works in a village where a lot of woman does not have a job. He is not rich and he can feel how it is hard not having a job. So, these women work in the poultry with daily salary. They get the eggs, clean the cage and etc. One day, the owner changes his mind to use automatic machine to those jobs. Everything is going so easy and fast. With just one button clicked by one person, the system starts amazingly. But the side effect, the women not coming again to poultry. My neighbor feels bad to them. They do not have salary anymore. So, my neighbor broke that machine without consent of his boss. Because the machine is expensive, the owner has to call all these women to work again until he can afford to buy a new one.
It is a simple problem but means a lot. My neighbor could not do the same things over and over again. It supposed to be us who concern how we can compete and find a chance to find a job. Nowadays, people not just compete with people but also with machine. So workers are fired because a machine of energy of information works better. And, soldiers are killed because a machine of energy, a top predator kills faster. Law of competence between different species is "The fittest bodies and mind survive.

It is indeed clear what the industrial revolution is. We already have 3D Printing which can print most of anything you want in form of 3D, such as clothes, shoes etc. It simply means we don’t have to go to tailor to make clothes. Could you imagine how world is developing right now ? Even AI, a stock fund ran by computers is already one of the top competitors on Wall Street. 

            So, It is time to wake up. Indonesia will have bonus demography recently. More than 65 % of Indonesians will be in working age in 2035. Certainly, it is depend on us for seeing the good or the bad impacts of it. Are we going to be prosperous country because number of dependency decreasing ? or there will be a lot of unemployment because it is indeed hard to find job because almost everybody has the same goal to find a good job.

            So, If you are teenager and get what the point of my article, it is time for you to prepare yourself. Chances are big if you could see them. If you are older man or woman, you have to create a good condition for your grandchildren. Because most people are greedy and do not realize there will be a living after them. By prepare and see the struggle earlier, we can find the solution and we absolutely able to survive in this beautiful world.
